The 56th annual Trousdale County Youth & Community Fair is scheduled for August 11-13, 2011, and plans are already underway to make it the best yet! We hope you will be a part of this year's event. The Fair Board continues to make each fair bigger and better. Last year's fair saw improved attendance and participation, and this year promises to continue the tradition. Thanks to the State of Tennessee, the Trousdale County Board of Education, and several local in-kind contributions, we now have a great place to have our livestock shows and Chick Chain Show & Auction. Other scheduled events for this year's fair include a 4-H Reunion, open Sheep & Cattle Show, and Fairest of the Fair Contest on Friday; a 5K Run, cake decorating demonstrations, and Craft Show on Saturday. For the kids, there will be a texting contest, youth beauty contests, a games event sponsored by the P3 group, Snowbird, Dr. Healthy Hound, and more. There will truly be something for everyone at this year's fair, including food, fun, and fellowship with your neighbors. To make this year's fair the best it can be, we need your help. Among the ways you can help make it successful are: Be a Sponsor. Our sponsors are what give us the opportunity to make each fair bigger and better, and all size donations are accepted. You can make a general donation or agree to sponsor an event. Call for more information or send your donation to Trousdale County Fair, Post Office Box 205, Hartsville, Tennessee 37074. For your donation to be included in this year's pre-fair publicity, we must have your donation no later than May 14, 2011. Be a Volunteer. We need all kinds of help, from assisting with taking exhibits to helping line up contestants for the beauty contests.
